- Drill Holes: Use a rock drill to create holes of the correct diameter and depth in the material. For the YG-250, drill 42mm diameter holes at least 500mm deep. For YG-350 and YG-450 models, use 46mm drill bits and drill to depths of 700 mm and 900 mm, respectively. Clean all debris from the holes after drilling.
- Insert the Splitting Gun: Carefully insert the splitting gun head fully into the drilled hole. Ensure it is positioned straight and not tilted to avoid damaging the wedge blocks.
- Start Hydraulic Operation: Activate the hydraulic pump and gradually increase pressure. The wedge blocks will expand, creating a 10- 20 mm wide crack in the material within 10-15 seconds. Monitor the pressure gauge closely to avoid overloading.
