Moving a 40-ton CNC machine from one end of a factory to another used to mean calling in a crane crew and shutting down production for days. Load moving skates changed that equation. These low-profile, battery-powered machines slide under heavy equipment and move it across the factory floor with a wireless remote—one operator, no crane, no drama.
YG Machinery manufactures electric heavy equipment moving dollies with towing capacities from 10T to 60T. Every unit runs on a 48V lithium battery, drives on imported polyurethane wheels, and responds to a C6/C7 wireless remote controller. Below, we break down the specifications, the advantages over traditional moving methods, and the real-world applications where these machines earn their keep.

Why Do Electric Load Moving Skates Beat Traditional Methods?
1. The Crane Problem
Cranes work outdoors. Inside a factory, a crane needs overhead clearance, a certified operator, and a rigging crew. The setup alone can eat half a shift. And once the load is airborne, you have limited control over final positioning. A crane moves in arcs and swings; a CNC machine needs to land within millimeters of its anchor bolts.
2. The Forklift Limitation
Forklifts need aisle space and load visibility. A 30-ton stamping press with an uneven base will not sit safely on forks. Forklifts also come with notable safety drawbacks. They require a skilled operator who can judge load balance in real time. When the load blocks the operator’s view, the risk goes up sharply. Diesel forklifts inside a closed workshop add exhaust fumes and noise to the equation.
3. The Manual Roller Grind
Steel rollers and pry bars are cheap but brutal. A crew of four pushing a 20-ton mold across a concrete floor faces injury risk with every shift of the load. Manual methods also offer almost no speed control—once the load starts rolling, stopping it requires wedges and luck.
A load moving skate solves all three problems with one design change: it puts the drive system under the load. The skate slides beneath the equipment, lifts it a few millimeters off the floor, and moves it at a controlled 2–10 m/min. The operator stands away from the load with a remote in hand. The polyurethane wheels distribute weight evenly and protect epoxy floors from cracking under point loads.

Electric Tank Trolley Application Scenarios
Scenario 1: Factory Equipment Relocation
The situation: A manufacturing plant needs to move a 25-ton injection molding machine from Line A to Line C, a distance of 80 meters through a narrow aisle.
The pain point: A forklift cannot fit through the aisle. A crane cannot reach indoors. Manual rollers would require six workers and most of a day.
The gain: A 25T electric tank trolley slides under the machine, the operator walks behind with the remote, and the move takes under an hour. The 360° in-situ rotation lets the operator thread the machine through a 90-degree turn without repositioning.
Scenario 2: Transformer Installation at a Power Substation
The situation: A 40-ton transformer needs to be positioned on a concrete pad with 10mm tolerance for cable connections.
The pain point: Crane access is blocked by overhead lines. The transformer base sits only 80mm off the ground—too low for a forklift.
The gain: The low-profile skate (165–185mm height) slides under the base. Variable speed control allows the operator to nudge the transformer into the exact position. No repeated crane lifts, no hydraulic jacking, no guesswork.
Scenario 3: Multi-Unit Mold Transport in a Die Shop
The situation: A 50-ton mold with an irregular shape needs to move from storage to a press. The mold is 6 meters long and has a high center of gravity.
The pain point: A single skate cannot support the load safely. The mold would tip or sag in the middle.
The gain: Multiple skates link under one remote controller. The operator distributes the load across four or six contact points, and the synchronized control keeps every skate moving at the same speed. No load shift, no tipping.

FAQ
Start with the actual weight of the load, not the towing capacity. If your machine weighs 22 tons, the 25T model handles it. But check the load capacity figure—the 25T model carries 12.5 tons on its deck. If the machine’s full weight rests on the skate, you need a model where the load capacity exceeds the machine weight. Send us the equipment weight, base dimensions, and floor clearance, and we will recommend the right configuration.
Yes. The dual-motor design allows zero-radius turning. The operator can rotate the load 360° in place without needing a turning circle. This makes the electric material handling cart suitable for narrow aisles, equipment gaps, and crowded production floors.
Polyurethane wheels perform best on smooth concrete, epoxy-coated floors, and steel plates. They will handle slightly uneven surfaces but not gravel, dirt, or steep ramps. For outdoor work, the surface needs to be paved and level. If your route includes a slope, tell us in advance—the electromagnetic brakes hold on slight inclines, but we can advise on the safe limit.
The 48V 60Ah battery delivers 3–4 hours of continuous operation on the 20T–30T models. The 120Ah battery on the 40T–60T models runs 4–5 hours. Charging takes approximately the same time. For multi-shift projects, order a spare battery—the quick-connect housing lets you swap it in under a minute.
Yes. You can program the same remote to control several skates simultaneously. This is the standard setup for long or irregular loads. One operator walks behind the load with the remote and controls the entire moving system as a single unit.
